MY HOME OR YOUR HOME PET SITTING,
DAYCARE, BOARDING
BED AND BISCUITS
In order for a pet to be boarded and cared for in my home certain pet sitting requirements:
- Proof of up to date vaccine including Bordetella
- Flea Prevention program
- Have to be neutered or spayed except for puppies
- Must be 3 months or older
- Housebroken and must get along with other dogs.
Whiskers and Paws is not a kennel, but a private home who will receive your dog as a very special guest and as part of the family in my home with exceptional service. My home is located in a beautiful quiet neighborhood half a block from the park. My neighborhood is filled with animal lovers and owners. Before leaving your dog with me, depending on the dog’s personality, I would strongly recommend that we meet before your trip (please note that there is a small fee for my time, etc.). At times, your dog will be possibly with one or two furry buddies.
Forms pertaining to your pet will be emailed to you before your departure, which should be filled and sent back to me as soon as possible so that I can revise and ensure that no information is missing. An invoice will be followed by email before the drop off date and payment shall be remitted upon the drop off of your pet.
Whiskers and Paws operate its bed and biscuit like a hotel. It does not matter at what time you drop off your pet on the first day, you will be charged the bed and biscuit’s full fee. Upon arrival of your trip, all pets must be picked up at or before noon on weekend days and on or before 10:30 during the week days. A fee will be added for all clients who pick up their buddies after check out time.
Things to bring:
- Leash and collar (not retractable)
- Food and treats with instructions stapled to the bag
- Bed: see comments below in next paragraph
- Toys, only if the dog is attached to it, otherwise there are plenty to play with here.
- Medication with specific written out instructions if the dog is being medicated.

Due to the fact that I love to spend my time outdoor, your dog, during it’s daily stay and if in good health and shape, may be hiking to the Gatineaus or wherever the journey might take us on any given day where beautiful natured trails are, walks and playtime at the parks will be included, and of course all the cuddles and affection that it might need. Sleep over are on bedside carpets and pillows, preferably their own, for there comfort and their feeling of security. We will try and accommodate your pet’s sleeping habit in our home. Cages and crates will be accepted, as some pets do prefer sleeping and retiring in their own little place.
PET SITTTING DAYCARE DURING WORK HOURS – 15 HOURS
Are you planning to be away during the day and not sure when you are returning due to some unforeseen situation? We can pet sit your dog for the day and give it all the best care, walk, playtime, feeding etc. The day would consist of a 15 hour period. An additional fee would be added for any extra time or pick up and drop off. Daycare with a maximum of 2 more dogs at any given time, unless an emergency arises. Pick up and delivery available at an extra charge.
OVERNIGHT PET SITTING AT YOUR HOME ( SHORT TERM)
This service can be provided if the need may be. Sleep over would be from 8 - 9pm to 7am. One visit during the day for half hour will be included. This pet sitting service would include a night walk, a morning walk and mid day walk for dogs. An additional fee would be charged for a residence that is over 25 km or more. While pet sitting at your residence, mail will be brought in, plants watered, litter box cleaned, bird feeders replenished and whatever other little chores might be within limits. Extra charges can be applied for other services not part of the standard packages.
PET SITTING FULL TIME FOR A 2 WEEK PERIOD OR MORE IN YOUR HOME
We can provide you with a pet sitting service, where someone will stay at your home full time during your trip away from home. This service is only available for stays of two weeks or more.
PICKUPS AND DELIVERY SERVICES FOR PET SITTING AND OTHERS
We can be available for pick up and delivery services whether it be to go to the groomer or come to the daycare or other specific places. We recommend that for your pet(s)’s first pet sitting adventure, it be dropped off by you to my residence. This is easier on your pet’s stress level than taking it away from its home and bringing it to a strange place with a stranger for the first time. This fee varies depending on what your needs are.
SENIOR DOG PET SITTING
We at Whiskers and Paws specialize in senior dog care pet sitting services. Your dog will be walked more frequently in shorter walks. Massages with aroma therapy oils related to their aches and pains will be provided at times. Special treats than can be digested easier will be given. If your pet has incontinence, which often occurs in older dogs, we must know in advance so that we can be prepared and request from you a couple of little things for this problem.
